29th EAAAACA EXCOM

On 12th August 2025, the President of the Eastern Africa Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (EAAACA), Hon. Beti Kamya Turwomwe, officially opened the 29th Executive Committee (EXCOM) Meeting.

In her address, the President recalled the mandate given to the EXCOM during the 27th Meeting in Arusha, Tanzania to implement the resolutions of the 15th EAAACA General Assembly held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She reported that out of the 19 signed resolutions, 13 have been fully addressed or are progressing well, while work has commenced on the remaining items.

Hon. Kamya extended her appreciation to Ag. General Secretary Ms. Munira Ali and her team for their commitment and achievements in steering the Secretariat’s activities. She also commended all member institutions for their timely payment of annual subscriptions, which she noted was critical to sustaining the Association’s work.

The President highlighted that the primary agenda of the 29th EXCOM is to identify the most suitable candidate to serve as the substantive General Secretary. The meeting will also focus on preparations for the upcoming 16th EAAACA Annual General Meeting, where H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, has graciously accepted to attend as the Chief Guest.
